So the Pathfinder Beta isn't listed as a pre-order anymore. Does this mean the pdf should be available soon? I needs it, i have time to read now!!!

Uwee!

From various threads on their boards, I know they have the books in their warehouse.

Soon... they said mid-August, so I figure it'll be at most another week.

I can't wait for this! Eee! Four more days before the download becomes available.

I'm going to restat Vence with the Pathfinder rules just for kicks. I know we'll probably still play RotRL as 3.5, but... kicks!

Oh, BTW, Pathfinder Vence is a gem.

My only problem is I'm not sure how to get my CMB higher. I've got it so that Vence can only affect himself on a 20. I guess the CMB feat that replaces strength with dex would be useful... but it's still only a +2 bonus overall.

Hmmmmm...

I don't know what any of this means. And how can you only affect yourself in the first place? Unless theare two Vences out there... (spoiler)

edit: I understand "hmmmmm...." It means you are thinking.

I just meant comparing his combat maneuver defense (15+Str+BAB+FEAT BONUS!) to his CMB. If he were to fight a similarly skilled person, he could only affect that person with a combat maneuver on a 20.

Problem is, we're almost always fighting stronger, larger creatures... so it doesn't seem like he (or any PC for that matter, which is my point, I guess) could do much to anyone except humanoids.

Bra!

Well, the swahbuckler class is built around fighting single opponents, generally humanoid.

Yeah, I guess. Ignoring Vence for a moment, CMB is something I really want to test out in Beta, since I'd really like to see those maneuvers be used more often.

So when I complain about CMB vs. humanoid creatures, I'm thinking in the general sense.

I guess it makes sense, though. It SHOULD be hard to disarm a giant, after all.

Hmm... wizard? Make my pirate biggie size, please!

Well, as a druid, you can pick your own grotesque form for CMB-related mayhem.

Hummingbird bull rush!
