I lose : (
Somehow I missed this thread, probably by never checking the forums! Bad me, but anyway I'll think about some quests if you still want us to Will. |

Gotcha, but I do like the idea. As long as we are going to keep playing these characters (even if not very often) I will come up with some.
You better be ready to run stuff every day...ok ok every other day: ) |

I'm thinking about this again, and... well, actually, I guess this goes kinda meta. Remember the drow guy who wanted that treasure that looked like something Orcus worshippers would like?
What if say I want a personal quest to be "spy on [what's-his-face] and his little bauble for signs of Orcus cult activity (or possibly possession) and neutralize any threat he or it may bring to the Seven-Pillared Hall (or perhaps beyond)." Now, that's sorta making my own hook... unless it turns out the thing really is completely innocuous and the guy has no ill intentions. Then it's just, oh, he's okay and nothing really exciting happens.
I guess my question is this: If we make one of these things up, does that mean you have to make something up adventure-wise? Otherwise we're just making up our own red herrings.
Oh, and I'm interested in the given example being a real personal quest, btw!! |

I'm reading old forum threads instead of working, weee!
I must have missed this post originally. Sorry about that! Oh well, it's only been like 8 months!
Short answer, if you go to the trouble of defining a quest like that, yeah, I'll do something with it. Totally. It may not be what you expect, but that's half the fun!
Do you still wanna spy on Gendar? He's still totally there in the Seven-Pillared Hall, being all drow-y, with his purple-black skin and his pointy ears...

Oh yeah! I may have, but Finish hasn't forgotten him. Finius would mostly be glancing over to his shop every time he's in the Seven-Pillar Hall. As for now, he's distracted by what he's doing now, though. |
